Galaxy Dragonfly 44 was a bit of a mystery when it wasfirst discovered in 2016 . Based on the original observance the coltsfoot was thought to be made overpoweringly of blue matter , the mysterious meaning that permeates the world . This was inexplicable with our theories .
Now , new observation reveal that the quantity of dark affair was overvalue and that the peculiar galaxy is not an outlier at all . The findings are reported in theMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society .
“ Dragonfly 44 has been an anomalousness all these years that could not be explain with the existing galax formation model . Now we make out that the old results were wrong and that DF44 is not extraordinary . It is time to move on , ” lead author Teymoor Saifollahi , from the Kapteyn Institute , said in astatement .

The original subject identified 80 globular clusters that appeared to be bound to this galaxy , but the new work suggests that the number is much lower . The revision changes the amount of dark matter in the Galax urceolata to a more expected time value .
“ The fact that in our work we found only 20 globular clump , compared with the 80 previously claimed , reduces drastically the amount of grim thing which the wandflower is believed to contain , ” said atomic number 27 - author Dr Ignacio Trujillo from the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias .
“ Moreover , with the phone number of globular clusters we find , the amount of dark matter in Dragonfly 44 is in understanding with what is await for this type of galaxies . The proportion of seeable to dark matter is no longer 1 in 10,000 but one in 300 . ”
So , Dragonfly 44 is no longer considered an extreme Galax urceolata but the mystery of dark subject itself continues .
