The inevitable was bound to happen for exesSammi “Sweetheart” GiancolaandRonnie Ortiz-Margo.
The trailer, exclusively shared with PEOPLE, opens with Ronnie carrying his bags into the group’s vacation home as he declares: “I feel like this is where I belong.”
Later speaking to the gang sans Ronnie,Mike “The Situation” Sorrentinocautions them about their former castmate’s planned return, followinghis hiatus to seek treatment for mental health issues. “I feel like we’ve all known for quite some time that Ron may be coming back,” he says.
To that, Sammi says: “Hell no!”
Ronnie, 38, and Sammi, 36, dated on and off throughout their time onJersey Shore, with fans witnessing some of their most intense fights on screen. Of seeing her ex for the first time in years, Sammi previously said in last season’s reunion thatshe was “thankful” her costars didn’t “just surprise me"with thenews of Ronnie’s return.

Like Sammi,Vinny Guadagninoacknowledges in the trailer that he is “not prepared for this” reunion to commence. Some of the other castmates have worried and concerned looks on their face, as well.
As the trailer progresses, a glimpse into that fateful moment is provided. Castmates likeNicole “Snooki” PolizziandJenni “JWoww” Farleyline up to hug Ronnie. Meanwhile, Sammi remains seated while observing from a distance, seemingly rolling her eyes.
“What is happening?“Deena Cortese Bucknerasks the cameras.
“Am I living in aTwilight Zone?” Sammi then questions.

Ronnie’s return drama aside, the trailer offers plenty of more juicy moments for fans to clamor over. For starters,Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchioreveals that Mike “went on four dates” withAngelina Pivarnick, who covers her face with a napkin in embarrassment after the surprising revelation.
Nicole, meanwhile, seemingly recreates the iconicJersey Shoremoment whereshe was arrested in 2010and charged with disorderly conduct after drunkenly attempting to find the beach.
“Where’s the beach?” Nicole, 36, jokingly shouts while running along the boardwalk, soon finding herself near a group of police officers. “Don’t arrest me!”
Taking the fun to Nashville,Angelina, 37, gives Vinny, 36, a steamy lap dancein front of a large crowd. “Lord, have mercy! I’ve gotta go back to church,” says Jenni, 37, thereafter.
As for how things are going for Ronnie, he appears to begin crying while the group is out to dinner. But the gang finds joy and laughter in the moment as Pauly, 43, says, “Yo, Ron’s crying on his first day back!”
