Jeff Lewisis taking responsibility for hisdramatic separationfrom partner of 10 years, Gage Edward.
During Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM radio showJeff Lewis Live, theFlipping Outstarsaid he called Edward, with whom he sharestwo-year-old daughter Monroe, to say he was at fault for their recent rift.
Lewis, 48, claims he told Edward, 33, “I just want you to know I have heard everything you’ve had to say to me in the last couple of weeks, and I take 100% responsibility for what has gone wrong in this relationship, and I truly feel like I have failed you, I have failed my child, and I have failed my family.”
The phone call came after the pair had a“terrible” dinner together, which Lewis stormed out ofafter he says Edward lectured and criticized him.

“I said, ‘I could not feel more like a failure. I could not feel any worse than how I feel today,'” Lewis continued. “‘I want you to know that you’ve already given me a thousand examples of why I’ve been an a—hole and I agree with you. I do not need another thousand examples.”
The Bravo star then claims he asked his estranged partner andFlipping Outco-star “as a friend and as a person who [works with me]” to acknowledge that he is attempting to alter his behavior.
“I’m working really hard to implement these changes in my life and what I would prefer to have from you is support and acknowledgement,” Lewis says he told Edward on the phone. “So if you see at any point that I’ve reacted differently to a situation or if you’ve noticed any changes, as little as they may be, I would love a little word of encouragement.”
He added, “I do not want you to beat the s—t out of me anymore because I am spilling into a very very deep, dark depression and I want to stop this now.”
“I did not host the radio last week. My wounded inner child did,” Lewis said, referring to a part of his personality that he identified in therapy.

“Your inner child lives in all of us, it lives in our unconscious mind, and it basically makes choices on how we respond to situations,” Lewis explained. “So the point is, I have a very hurt, wounded inner child.”
Lewis first stated that Edward had moved out of the home they shared with their daughter on Jan. 31, after, he says, they spent the better part of a year sleeping in separate rooms.
Their separation news comes on the heels of a turbulent year for the couple.
Trent is seeking damages for unlawful recording, invasion of privacy and fraud. Lewis has strongly refuted these claims, but the legal action is ongoing andwill likely go to trial.
Lewis and his longtime friend andFlipping Outco-star Jenni Pulos also had a major falling out this past year that ended their nearly 20-year personal and professional relationship. Lewis believes this fightmay lead to the cancellation of their Bravo seriesafter 11 seasons.
