Jamie-Lynn Sigleris sharing how her older sonBeau Kyleinfluenced her decision to speak out about hermultiple sclerosis diagnosis.In a new episode of PEOPLE’s podcastMe Becoming Mom, the 40-year-old actress opens up about her experience as a mom with MS and how her son Beau, now 8, helped her along her journey.“When Beau was about 2½ years old, Cutter [Dykstra] and I were actually going to be getting married finally. He was getting to an age where he was very aware of my limitations. He didn’t necessarily know I had something called MS, but he knew that there were things that I could and couldn’t do,” explains Sigler, who was diagnosed with MS when she was 20 years old.“And it was also getting harder to hide.
