Marsden shared a black and white snap of himself smiling next to his birthday treat, along with a closeup shot of the white-frosted dessert. He added three clapping hands emojis to signify a job well done.

The Notebookactor also reposted several of his guests’ Instagram Stories of the eye-catching cake, one of which was a video of Marsden blowing out birthday cake candles as party-goers sang “Happy Birthday.”

Funny enough, Marsden’s cake wasn’t the only personalized present he received. He was also gifted a mug with a hilarious collage of his face, as seen onTessa Thompson’s Instagram Story.

Marsden made sure to thank Casamigos for his party at the Sheats-Goldstein Residence in Los Angeles, which he also showed off on his Instagram Story.
“A huge thank you to @casamigos and @rachelzalis for keeping the party going strong and the drinks flowing late,” he wrote above the snapshot of him happily holding up a drink at the venue’s bar.

After that, the27 Dressesstar posted a photo of “James Birthday Cocktails” list, which featured a cucumber jalapeño margarita, a passion fruit margarita and casa ranch water.
Shake Shack sliders were also served at his birthday bash with wrappers decorated with stickers that “Marsden is 50.”
“@shakesshack with the burger drop 🙏,” the actor wrote on his Instagram Story.
Among the celebrity guests at Marsden’s 50th birthday celebration were Thompson,Woody Harrelson,Natasha Lyonne,Ben BarnesandAaron Paul, who could be seen in one photo hugging Marsden while he holds the personalized mug.
Marsden’sJury DutycostarRonald Gladdenwas also at the party.
“I just wanted that to be my first call and make sure he’s still enjoying all of this, and feeling like we’re all going through it together,” Marsden said. He added that Gladden — who was the only cast member who didn’t know the show was a mockumentary — was “over the moon.”
