Eileen Finan is a senior staff writer at PEOPLE with more than 20 years of experience as a writer, editor and reporter focusing on human interest, health and entertainment news.She’s been writing for the PEOPLE brand since 2000, when she started working with the magazine’s London bureau and later worked as a correspondent based in Nashville.She’s been on staff as a senior health writer since 2020. Previously, she’s covered human interest, sports, country music, the environment and royals.

Eileen Finan has been with PEOPLE for more than two decades as a writer and editor across several sections. She’s covered breaking news, features stories, entertainment and the royals as part of the magazine’s London bureau, and traveled to Russia, Pakistan, Kuwait and throughout Europe to cover stories. While working as a correspondent in Nashville, she covered human interest, country music and crime. She helped launch the magazine’s PEOPLE Country brand and helped to edit a series of PEOPLE Country special issues. She’s also contributed as a writer to several PEOPLE bookazines, including as the lead writer for a special issue on Queen Elizabeth.She’s currently the magazine’s senior health reporter, covering health-related news and feature stories for the magazine and contributing to PEOPLE.com.
