We knew Dish connection’snew Hopper DVRseemed too good to be true . Or too estimable to not be action into oblivion , at least . Now issue forth news that FOX is suing Dish over the Hopper , and Dish is suing , well , everyone .

A few minutes ago , the New York Times ’ Brian Stelter confirmed and twitch the news program :
Shots fired in the war over Dish internet ’s automobile - ad - eraser . Dish is suing the networks and at least one of the networks , Fox , is suing Dish .

It ’s undecipherable if other internet are action Dish as well , but it seems likely that they ’ll jump on board . Everyone skim through commercials by fast forwarding is already a huge problem for networks , but being able-bodied to“auto - hop”past them seemed a bridge circuit too far . We ’re not sure on the detail of the lawsuits being bring over the Hopper , but we ’ve contact Dish for comment and we ’ll let you know what it say , and what that means for your ability to zoom along past commercials mechanically . Update : NBC and CBS are now also suing Dish . No surprisal there !
