Today , Joy Hirsch , a Neurobiologist from Yale and one of the early developer of the fMRI technology , joined us to answer our interrogation about how fear acts on our brains . CommenterRegularSyzedMikewondered about the thrill of care ( the one that makes people ascertain scary pic , read frightening books , and jaw stalk theatre ) and Hirsch shared an interesting hypothesis about the convoluted kinship in the learning ability between fear and rewards :

This is a really interesting enquiry . Some somebody are thrill and risk seeker , but the nervous correlates of that trait are not known . One hypothesis is that region of the brain that are sensitive to fear also signal reward as well . The combining would predict fear - seeking behaviors . This is just a hypothesis . I do not screw of any evidence for it .
