Castlevania : Nocturneis the sequel serial of Netflix ’s video game adaptation of Konami ’s best - sell lamia killing game , Castlevania . Unlike the original show , which followed the tierce of Trevor Belmont , Sypha Belnades , and Alucard link forces to finish Dracula and his horde of vampires ’ reign of totalitarianism , Nocturnesees Trevor and Sypha ’s descendant , Richter , join forces with Alucard to kill the lamia messiah , Erzsebeth Báthory . In contrast to Dracula ’s half - hearted plot to free the reality of humans after they burned his married woman at the stakes , Erzsebeth plans to blot out the Lord’s Day and reserve vampires to walk the land at their leisure .
In typicalPowerhouse Animationstudio flair , the prescribed trailer for the coming time of year looks to raise the legal community for video biz adaptations to novel heights and promises yet another crashing good prison term .

The trailer apparently picks up off the heels of the first time of year ’s close , which saw Richter , his adopted sister Maria Renard , and Annette on the backfoot of Erzsebeth ’s upgrade to superpower — a rise that saw Maria ’s mother , Tera , forfeiture herself and become an unholy adherent of Erzsebeth ’s . Just when all hope was lost , Alucard made a buzzer - beater appearance , lay aside the troupe and coordinate himself with Trevor ’s gravid - great - great ( there are at least nine more greats to impart here ) grandson .
As is custom , the haughty Richter and the snarky Alucard come along to butt heads on how exactly they ’ll go about ridding the world of Erzsebeth while they train up for battle . Seeing as how the latter half of the trailer present everyone fighting like the dickens , it ’s safe to assume they will get over their bicker and kick all of the vampire ’s generous asses . The two - minute trailer also showed us Olrox , Mizrak , and Juste Belmont , tease their involvement on Alucard and Richter ’s side in the ensue battle to preserve man .
