This workweek , a radical of British scientists did just that . SentIntoSpace , a mathematical group of hobbyist based in Sheffield , initiated the effort to send a Proto-Indo European where no Proto-Indo European has gone before . “ We want to see if the altitude affects [ the Proto-Indo European ’s ] molecular structure and so make it loose to swallow during the competition , ” Tony Callaghan , one of the organizers , toldMetro of the UK . But the fact that the Proto-Indo European was establish from a pothouse lift misgiving that this was all just a drunken bet .
Strapping a centre and potato Proto-Indo European onto a weather balloon was also mean to raise theWorld Pie Eating Championshipwhich takes post on Tuesday . Bill Kenyon , who helped broil the Proto-Indo European , told theBBC , “ This is the first dance step to enable humankind to consume pies with more elegance and quilt . ”
So , how did it work out ? The Proto-Indo European safely made it ’s journey 150,000 feet into the stratosphere and landed back on Earth . A sheep is believed to have taken a bite . “ The pie was essentially stir up , frozen up in space then warmed up again , so the flavor is believably richer , ” Callaghan said . Okay .
