Start the first summertime vacation off with a cool drink , courtesy of these three robotic arms . MIT Senseable City Lab , Coca Cola , and Bacardi have team up up to bring you theMakr Shakr , an experiment in digital manufacture and yummy beverages .

Users can interact in real time with the Makr Shakr , by inputting a cocktail recipe through a smartphone app . This becomes a eldritch societal networking experience , as the recipe becomes part of a crowd - sourced drink combination . The idea behind this especial robot is not to put back a human bartender , but to try out with societal existence and consumption by making a share residential district experience . It is certainly a different alternative to drink in alone and getting exactly what you ordered .

To make a graceful and likable show , the movements of the machinelike branch have been modeled on the gesture made by Roberto Bolle , an étoile social dancer at the La Scala Opera House in Milan . The arms create a spectacle as they dramatically shake drinks and cut garnish . This is probably what Tony Stark is doing with his workshop golem when they are n’t busy welding .
