At first it seemed that the rules behind the approval process for new apps for the iPhone App Store were passably cut and dry . You know , they ca n’t reduplicate the functionality of the on - display board apps like Mail and iPod , they ca n’t use too much bandwidth and they ca n’t cause a security system chance . That first pattern is why apps likeMailWranglerandPodcasterwere hold the boot ; they were too unaired to those build - in apps . But now , an app called BdEmailer , which is basically a square - up email program , is available in the App Store . Just what the hell is going on ?

Look , we think it ’s awesome that BdEmailer is available . The more choices , the beneficial , which is why we wish well MailWrangler and Podcaster were available . BdEmailer let you type e-mail with the landscape painting keyboard , for god ’s saki . But at this detail , it ’s entirely ill-defined as to what keeps an app out of the store . Was this a careful move , or will it get yanked from the shop in a thing of hour , the result of a sleepy gatekeeper letting it through unexpectedly ?

We ’re hope this is not an stroke but a sign of more leniency from Apple in terms of what they ’ll allow in the App Store . But I doubt it . Get this one now while you still can , folks . [ BdEmailerviaEngadget ]
